Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
You may be eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), which provides a Medicare rebate of $ per session. The remaining gap that would be out of pocket is $ per session. Your GP and some medical specialists can provide you a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referral made to Dr Julieta Castellini. Please note you do not need a MHCP or GP referral to access therapy.
Changes have recently been made to Medicare policy which allow the same rebates to be available for telehealth and face-to-face appointments.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim back part of your session fee. Contact your private health fund to see if you are eligible. Please note you are not able to claim both a Medicare rebate and a rebate from your private health fund.
Professional Supervision
Fees for supervision may vary depending on a number of factors. Please contact me to discuss your needs and requirements.
Cancellation policy
As appointments are in demand, at least 48 hours notice is required if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, or a cancellation fee of $100 will be charged.
If you cancel your appointment on the day or fail to attend the appointment, the full session fee will be charged. Late cancellations and failures to attend impact on your therapy as well as other clients who may have benefited from that session of therapy.
If you are unable to attend due to sudden illness or person emergency, please advise as soon as possible (if after hours, please leave a message).
If you are no longer able to attend a session in person due to Covid-related issues (e.g. needing to self-isolate), please advise and the session can be conducted via telehealth.
Covid Policy
Consideration has been given to practicing safely in the context of Covid and the practice will operate in accordance with Qld Health guidance. In order to provide the best psychological service, whilst also maintaining the safety of clients, myself and the broader community, please note the following:
- I am fully vaccinated and will receive appropriate booster shots
- Both myself and clients will need to wear a mask for face to face sessions
- Clients are able to attend face to face sessions if they have received their full vaccinations
- For clients who are not yet vaccinated, either due to inability or choice, we are able to conduct sessions via telehealth. Medicare rebates are still available for telehealth appointments
- If you are unable to physically attend a session due to needing to isolate, please note we can instead conduct the session via telehealth
